Elsevier and the Belarus Ministry of Education Honor Researchers with Scopus Awards

Elsevier, the world-leading provider of scientific, technical, and medical information products and services, and the Ministry of Education of Belarus today announced the 10 winners of the first Belarusian Scopus Awards.
The Belarus Scopus Award program was initiated as part of the collaboration agreement signed last year between Elsevier and the Ministry of Education in Belarus and is aimed to honor young scientists and experienced researchers for their significant contributions to science both nationally and globally. The initiative is supported by the Committee on Science and Technology of Belarus and the National Academy of Sciences, Belarus.
The criteria for nominee selection were based on h-index scores obtained from Scopus data, as well as recognition in academic performance at a national level. The awards were presented by the Minister of Education of Belarus, Prof. Sergey A. Maskevich, together with Dr. Igor A. Osipov, PhD., Elsevier Regional Director Russia and Belarus.

Kirill G. Kuzmin - Researcher at Belarus State University, Minsk.
Alexander N. Dudin - Professor at Belarus State University, Minsk.
For outstanding contribution to the field of physics:
Dmitry V. Guzatov - Researcher at Grodno State University, Grodno.
Nikolay V. Shumeiko - Professor at Belarus State University, Minsk.
For outstanding contributions to the field of biology:
Vladislav V. Khrustalev - Researcher at Belarus State University, Minsk.
Igor V. Semak - Professor at Belarus State University, Minsk.
For outstanding contribution to the field of medicine:
Vera B. Kuznetsova - Researcher at Grodno State Medical University, Grodno.
Yuri E. Demidchik - Professor at Academy Postgraduate Education, Grodno.
