Elsevier and Energy Institute Work Together to Publish Journal of the Energy Institute
LONDON, March 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical, and medical information products and services, is pleased to announce that they have entered into a publishing agreement with the Energy Institute (EI) to publish its official journal, Journal of the Energy Institute.
Journal of the Energy Institute, a peer-reviewed quarterly publication first published in 1926, is essential reading for academics, researchers and practitioners across the globe engaged in energy and fuel technology. The journal's coverage is broad but also increasingly captures changes in energy technology that result from the transition to more efficient and environmentally aware energy production and end use. Accordingly, recent articles in the Journal of the Energy Institute deal with combustion engineering, biofuels, carbon capture and storage, and clean coal technology.
Erica Sciolti, Publishing Manager of the Energy Institute, stated, "We are very pleased to be working with Elsevier in publishing the Journal of the Energy Institute. The journal fulfills a vital role which extends well beyond institute membership. The ability to provide solid, evidence based, peer-review research is critical for energy related innovation to be successful and the research contained within it will enable industry, governments and business to tackle the environmental and supply challenges we currently face. Working with Elsevier will help to ensure that this much needed work is accessible to a broad part of the research community."
Katherine Eve, Executive Publisher at Elsevier said, "We are extremely excited to be working closely with the Energy Institute on this publication, building on our existing collaborations: publishing Fuel and Energy Abstracts, and working together to organize the Energy Systems Conference: When Theory Meets Reality which will be held in June 2014 in London. We look forward to assisting the Energy Institute in continuing to serve their members through this publication, and to making the journal available to an increasingly diverse and international audience."
Journal of the Energy Institute is now available online on ScienceDirect.
