Membership to the dedicated community portal is free and is designed to help teachers prepare for the classroom and engage with others in the profession.

Dr. Melissa Hughes is a former elementary school teacher who contributes to the Elmer's Teachers Club blog. "Now more than ever, teachers are looking for tips and free resources online, so it's exciting that Elmer's has thoughtfully curated content in this new community and has created a place for educators to have conversations and learn from one another," she said.

When signing up, teachers are asked to complete a profile that will help customize the content they receive and qualify them for future contests and sweepstakes, according to Terri Brown, senior manager of marketing services and communications at Elmer's.

"The more we know about our Teachers Club members, the more we can offer them valuable resources like lesson plans and printables," said Brown. "Teachers' time and budgets are often stretched, so we want to provide resources that are tailored to each member's subject area and grade level."

In addition to plans and projects offered, the community includes information on how schools can participate in the Elmer's Glue Crew classroom recycling program and how they may qualify for funding through the Elmer's Teacher Tool Kit Grant program in partnership with the Kids in Need Foundation.
