(Nasdaq: JIVE) today announced that leading higher education software and services provider Ellucian selected the Jive-x external community solution to power its new customer community. Named "eCommunities," this self-service solution empowers all college and university administrative offices with one place to connect, communicate and collaborate on best practices that help further the mission of higher education.
Ellucian was established in 2012 following the merger of two leading higher education technology providers. The company integrated these businesses under the Ellucian umbrella and is working to unify the customer experience across multiple product offerings. In support of this strategic initiative, Ellucian decided to modernize its support systems by replacing multiple legacy customer communities with one intuitive Jive-x based solution that brings together collaboration, training and education, and various other customer tools.
