Elliott Smith Joins the Executive Team of Voith Turbo's Power, Oil & Gas Division in Houston

HOUSTON, July 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Elliott Smith has joined Voith Turbo's Power, Oil & Gas Division as Vice President of Business Development and Strategy. Mr. Smith will be based at the recently-opened office in Houston's energy corridor.

The company's new Houston office includes a business development and research center focused on problem solving and product development. As Vice President of Business Development and Strategy, Mr. Smith will work with the research and development and sales teams to drive innovation in the oil and gas sector.

Mr. Smith brings more than 20 years of experience in the power and energy industries, with technical, commercial, legal, and risk management expertise in project development. Prior to joining Voith, Mr. Smith served as the Manager for Global Services at CH2M Hill in Atlanta, Georgia, where he led strategic growth initiatives for global markets in the power and energy industries. He has also previously worked for Siemens Energy. Mr. Smith received his MBA at the University of North Carolina and is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and Jacksonville University.
