This year's shortlist of "Designers to Watch" honors Rafael de Cardenas, Aurelien Gallet, Beth Martin, Todd Nickey and Amy Kehoe of Nickey Kehoe, and Sara Story.
These five designers, along with the five 2010 awardees, have teamed up with ELLE DECOR for the brand's first-ever New York City showhouse. The Modern Life Concept House opens May 17th in New York City at the new condo development known as +aRt at 540 West 28th Street. The ten designers will partner with leading brands to create dazzling indoor and outdoor spaces that offer a fresh approach to contemporary living. The Concept House will be open to the public May 20, 21, and 22; May 27, 28, 29, and 30; and June 3, 4, and 5 from 10 AM. to 4 PM.
