CLEVELAND, Oct. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The personal injury law firm of Elk & Elk® is pleased to announce the establishment of an Of Counsel relationship with attorneys Robert Dubyak and Douglas Nelson. Acting as the business arm of Elk & Elk, the new practice of Dubyak Nelson, LLC will primarily focus on business and real estate litigation and transactions, as well as contingent business litigation and class-action suits.
"This relationship is a fantastic growth opportunity for our firms and will allow us to meet existing and future client needs," said Jay Kelley, partner at Elk & Elk. "We believe launching this new relationship with Dubyak Nelson provides unique opportunities for the two firms to collaborate, and expand our footprint in regards to types of cases we handle."
While the two firms will maintain autonomy through separate business models, their relationship will expand the scope and reach of both firms.
"Elk & Elk has the resources in place to enable our practice to grow and thrive," said Rob Dubyak. "We expect great synergy in combining our experience with Elk & Elk's seasoned litigators and extensive support staff."
Historically, attorneys have been divided into two camps, those who represent plaintiffs on a contingency basis, and those, including business attorneys, who charge hourly fees.
"This new alliance will allow us to be uniquely positioned to provide contingency fee-based representation to clients involved in business diputes, allowing them to pursue claims that would have otherwise been cost-prohibitive," said Arthur M. Elk, managing partner at Elk & Elk. "Rob and his team have the business law experience that will enable our firm to dramatically expand the services we offer to our clients."
Also joining Dubyak and Nelson in this new practice are associate Sarah Kendig and attorneys Anthony Trzaska, Craig Relman and Jim Schoen who are Of Counsel to Dubyak Nelson, LLC.
