MATAGORDA, Texas, March 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Elizabeth M. Scott is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional among Artists. Elizabeth is Owner, Artist & Author for B&K Driftwood Studio and The Red Boot Thrift Shop, located in Matagorda, Texas. She is also the Owner/Editor of a local community newspaper, Matagorda NEWS.
In her current roles, Elizabeth writes and publishes newspaper articles, and also works in the capacity of painting driftwood and creating hand painted jewelry. Through her processing procedure, painted driftwood pieces will not fade nor deteriorate in any type of weather. In addition, all of her jewelry items are hand crafted, one of a kind pieces. Elizabeth uses her artistic talent to give back to the community by teaching art lessons at her studio. Aside from her own determination and professional drive, Elizabeth also credits Gordan and Dolores Thomas with helping her build her businesses.
As a result of her artistic talent, Elizabeth has just been honored with 2nd place "Best of Show" in an area Art Show. In addition, in 1993, she won Editor's Choice award for her poem and also has a poem published in National Library of Poetry.
Furthermore, Elizabeth is a published author of three books, Adventures with Mama Scottie and the Kids, It's Rodeo Time with Mama Scottie and the Kids, as well as Christmas Tree, which has been adapted into a play.
In addition to her positions as Artist and Writer, Elizabeth is also a Certified Professional Clown. Whenever possible, she accepts charitable clowning events and is a member of Katy Klowns, Texas Clown Association, and Clowns of America International.
Elizabeth received her Bachelor's Degree in Music from Florida Baptist College. She is currently involved with Chamber of Commerce, Palacios Visual Arts, and missionary work at a small village church.
In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys helping others in any way possible, traveling, writing, reading, painting, puzzles, and clowning. She especially enjoys missionary work that involves traveling and she has been to South America, China, and Russia, where she is known as "The Lady that brings Bibles."
