Elementum Names Paul Dagum as New Head of Technology
Elementum--software solutions powered by the world's first graph for end-to-end supply chain management--adds tech mogul to its leadership roster.
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Oct. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Elementum, the company behind the world's Product Graph, announced the addition of Paul Dagum as its new Head of Technology. Dagum—who will oversee Engineering, UX, and Product—joins an eclectic team of seasoned veterans from Salesforce, Cloudera, AOL, and MTV (yes, that MTV). With this latest hire, the company named one of the best places to work in the Bay Area stands fully armed to kick its industry-disrupting technology into high gear.
Ready to roll.
Dagum prides himself on being the type of leader who speaks from firsthand experience. With deep roots in big data, machine learning, natural language processing, and informatics R&D, he often finds himself at the intersection of science and technology. To date, the SaaS pioneer has created and led technology in three successful venture-backed companies—including one focused on supply chain optimization and risk management. Prior to his corporate career, Dagum oversaw the National Science Foundation and National Institute of Health grants at Stanford University, published over 60 peer-review articles, and authored chapters in computer science and medical texts. Not to mention, he's been awarded over 20 patents.
"What attracted me to Elementum was the scope of the problem they're solving. I didn't just want to do something disruptive; I wanted to do something that enabled everyone to be disruptive." – Paul Dagum, Head of Technology @Elementum
Dream team.
In his effort to harness the complexity of the global economy, CEO Nader Mikhail understands the solution lies in bringing together not just the smartest, but most creative. And that's where new hires like Dagum come in: to help build the world's Product Graph—a digital mapping of the $25 trillion product economy. Similar to Facebook's Social and LinkedIn's Economic Graphs, Elementum is looking at supply chain as an interconnected set of nodes, dependencies, and flow of goods. By removing unnecessary complexity, companies and entrepreneurs alike can focus on innovation—leaving room for problem solving that moves the economy forward.
"It's not just about talent; it's the type of talent. When you mix creativity and curiosity with passion and discipline, you get a game-changing team. Paul Dagum is our newest game-changer." – Nader Mikhail, Founder & CEO @Elementum
