The five-day DJ camp is a cultural education program designed for those wanting to pursue and succeed in a career in electronic music. Leading industry experts and musicians deliver attendees insider access to DJ and production fundamentals and advanced industry insights including the technical, business, marketing, social/viral, and creative side of building a brand as a DJ/ producer in the art of electronic music.
High-profile experts in their fields developed this new, intensive program for budding artists wanting to kick-start their music career and includes: hands-on workshops, in-studio demonstrations, lectures and Q&A's with world-renowned DJs/producers, managers, agents, promoters, entertainment lawyers and equipment specialists. The expert speaker lineup includes the following 'who's who' from the world of electronic music:
- Paul Oakenfold, considered the "Godfather of Electronic Music" and one of the greatest DJ/producers in the world, shares insight into his legendary career, from his beginnings in the music business, to his phenomenal success with the industry leaders he has worked with. Attendees are given an unprecedented Q&A session with Oakenfold.
- Jason Kadlec, a digital and music marketing expert helped launch world-renowned digital music companies INgroovesFontana and Topspin. Kadlec was also an instructor on online marketing for the Berklee College of Music Online school and has spent years building and managing websites and online marketing for electronic music artists including Bassnectar, Amon Tobin, EDM festivals such as Bass Camp Festival as well as best selling authors and celebrities.

The Electronic Music Academy DJ Camp takes place on campus at The Los Angeles Recording School, a division of The Los Angeles Film School, located in the heart of Hollywood at the historic RCA Building located at 6363 Sunset Boulevard. The venerable building has been home to recording studios used by legendary artists such as Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, and Henry Mancini. Events will also be held on campus in the school's recently renovated historic Ivar Theatre, a facility that also doubles as a live-sound training component for students of The Los Angeles Recording School's Recording Arts program. The accredited, VA-approved higher education institution offers career-focused Bachelor and Associate of Science degrees in Entertainment Business, Animation & VFX, Game Production & Design, Music Production, Recording Arts and Film.
Tuition for the "DJ camp" includes the five days of seminars and instruction, student lodging, daily breakfast and lunch, classroom-style seminars, lectures, small group break-outs, in-studio demonstrations, one-on-one interaction with electronic music industry leaders and a graduation banquet hosted by Oakenfold.

About The Los Angeles Recording School
The Los Angeles Recording School (LARS), a division of The Los Angeles Film School, was founded in 1985 and is located on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. The private post-secondary educational institution teaches its students all aspects of music production and recording arts in both instructional and hands-on lab environments.
