Electronic Health Records and Meaningful Use Boot Camp: March 9-10 in Tampa
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Feb. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Community Health Centers Alliance (CHCA) and The Center for the Advancement of Health IT (AHIT) is hosting a two-day Electronic Health Records and Meaningful Use "boot camp" for healthcare providers and practices on March 9th and 10th at the Grand Hyatt - Tampa Bay.
Attendees can participate in more than a dozen sessions with seasoned leaders who have already implemented EHRs. Topics will include assessing your organization for EHR adoption; selecting the right vendor; implementing a system; understanding and achieving Meaningful Use; and clinical, workflow, data security, and legal considerations. The event is sponsored in part by the Health Resources and Services Administration.
Dr. Farzad Mostashari, Deputy National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, will provide the keynote address regarding emerging national efforts to use technology to improve the delivery, quality and efficiency of care.
Registration includes workshop content, handouts, and other tools; continental breakfast and buffet lunch both days; and a networking reception that includes an EHR systems vendor fair. The host hotel also provides complimentary shuttle service to and from the Tampa International Airport. The host hotel, the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, has reserved a block of rooms at discounted rates for the event, but reservations must be made by 3/4/2011.
