Electric Cloud Appoints Enterprise Software Veteran as Vice President of Engineering

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Electric Cloud®, the leading DevOps automation company, today announced the appointment of Vishy Karra as its vice president of engineering.   In his new position, Mr. Karra will be responsible for all aspects of product development and support functions within Electric Cloud.

He has almost two decades of industry experience, including nearly 12 years successfully building and leading high-performing engineering teams. He most recently served as vice president of engineering for 10gen, the developers of the open-source database, MongoDB. Prior to 10gen, Mr. Karra was the research and development director at VMware, where he managed engineering teams working on datacenter products, including the flagship vSphere platform.  Mr. Karra has had extensive experience in database development, which included a stint at Oracle, where he was responsible for the development of their database's storage engine.
