SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Electric Cloud (http://electric-cloud.com), the leader in DevOps Release Automation and Continuous Delivery, today announced the appointment of Carmine Napolitano as its next CEO. Napolitano, who previously served as the company's CFO, succeeds Steve Brodie, who successfully guided Electric Cloud from a company which was focused primarily on Continuous Integration (CI) tools to become the recognized leader in DevOps and Application Release Automation (ARA). Brodie will continue to work with Electric Cloud as a Strategic Advisor to the company as they build upon the success and momentum Electric Cloud has achieved as it evolves into its next chapter of growth.
Electric Cloud was recently positioned by Gartner, Inc. as a leader in its 2017 Magic Quadrant for Application Release Automation (ARA).* Electric Cloud was also recognized as a leader in The Forrester Wave™: Continuous Delivery Release Automation, Q3 2017, by Forrester Research Inc. Electric Cloud believes its industry accolades, combined with its growing customer base – set to triple in 2017 – and increased market demand across multiple verticals, requires an evolution in business practices to accelerate company growth.
"We believe Steve's vision, and the hard work of all our employees and partners, played a huge part in helping us achieve our market leading position," said Napolitano. "Moving forward, we must continue to execute on our strategy of connecting and automating the most important aspects of software delivery to help customers drive business value by releasing high-quality applications more quickly and safely."
Napolitano has over 25 years of experience as a CEO, COO and CFO, working with industry-leading teams at both public and private companies including: Paradata, Blekko, Computer Access Technologies, LeCroy, Centric Software and Wavefront Technologies. He has successfully completed over $500 million in financial transactions, including an IPO, three company exits, and more than a dozen financings.
"It has been a privilege and an honor to work with so many great employees, partners and customers, as we introduced enterprises to the DevOps movement by co-founding the DevOps Enterprise Summit and by creating a robust ARA platform to help customers in market-share with accelerating software-driven innovation," said Brodie. "We believe Electric Cloud is the clear market leader, and I'm confident that Carmine and the Electric Cloud team has all of the elements necessary to take the company to the next level."
