Elbit Systems of America's M7 Aerospace, to Supply Boeing With Inboard Flap Assemblies for KC-135 Stratotanker
SAN ANTONIO, Texas, July 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
Elbit Systems of America, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd., announced that its subsidiary, M7 Aerospace LP, has beenawarded a three- year contract by The Boeing Company to supply Inboard Flap Assemblies for the KC-135 Stratotanker. The contract is not in an amount that is material to Elbit Systems.

The KC-135 is a 4-engine military aircraft and the predominant United States Air Force tanker aircraft flying today. Located on the trailing edge of an aircraft's wing, Inboard Flaps are lowered to increase lift, allowing the aircraft to fly at a lower airspeed for take-off and landing.
For several years, M7 Aerospace has been supplying sheet metal details, machine parts, spoilers and other assemblies to Boeing-BDS for KC-135, CH-47, C-130, V-22 and other legacy airframes.
