MERRILLVILLE, Ind., Feb. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Eight properties from the White Lodging portfolio were recognized on the U.S. News & World Report Best Hotels list for 2018.
The Best Hotels list covers over 24,000 luxury properties in regions of the United States, Europe, Canada, Bermuda, and Mexico, ranking properties by both industry expert and hotel guest opinion.

Four White Lodging properties received a Silver Badge as the Best Hotel within their destination, marking the top 30 percent of all ranked luxury properties.
A silver badge winner, the JW Marriott Austin is located in downtown Austin, Texas, offering more than 1,000 guest rooms, 112,000 square feet of meeting space, a rooftop pool with cabanas and onsite spa. The JW Marriott Austin serves both business and leisure guests in upscale surroundings, headed by industry veteran, General Manager Scott Blalock. The hotel is offering a package of 15 percent off to celebrate its silver badge.
The JW Marriott Indianapolis also received a distinguished Silver Badge. Run by General Manager Phil Ray, the 34-floor luxury property is the tallest hotel in Indiana, containing more than 1,000 guest rooms, two restaurants and the largest Marriott ballrooms in the Midwest.
A Silver Badge winner, The Westin Austin Downtown is located in the heart of downtown Austin, Texas, offering 366 guest rooms, 19,000 square feet of meeting space, a rooftop pool, bar and overlooking the city, and is pet-friendly. Regular wellness activities, such as group runs and rooftop yoga are offered. The hotel is offering a special package with 18 percent off to celebrate the award.
A Silver Badge winner, the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown is located in the heart of East Town, downtown's thriving district in Milwaukee, WI, offering 205 guest rooms, 9,000 square feet of meeting space, and an on-site restaurant that emphasizes local cuisine and craft beer.
Included on the Best Hotels list, Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University is a has an unrivaled location on the Vanderbilt University campus, offering 301 guest rooms, 11,000 square feet of meeting space, convenient access to some of the best dining, entertainment and attractions that Nashville has to offer, and an on-site restaurant with General Manager Thomas Caramucci at the hotel's helm.
Included on the Best Hotels list, The Westin Austin at the Domain is an upscale hotel located in one of Austin, Texas's most exciting shopping, dining and entertainment neighborhoods, offering 341 guest rooms, 17,000 square feet of meeting space, and a heated outdoor pool. The Westin Austin at The Domain serves both business and leisure guests in upscale, pet-friendly surroundings, headed by General Manager David Malmberg.
Included on the Best Hotels list, The Westin Milwaukee opened in 2017, just steps away from the downtown lakefront and offers guests delicious dining at the hotel's a signature Italian-American steakhouse.
