Rolls-Royce North America President and CEO James Guyette to Discuss Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing During Luncheon Keynote
HERNDON, Va., Feb. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), the largest technology council in the nation, is hosting its first University Technology Exhibition that will provide the region's investors and businesses a sneak peek at the hot technologies currently being developed in academic labs while exploring the potential of technology transfer, licensing, and research and development. James M. Guyette, president and chief executive officer of Rolls-Royce North America, will keynote the luncheon program with opening remarks given by Virginia Secretary of Technology Jim Duffey. The event will place on February 24 from 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Hilton McLean.

The event will include a trade show of university exhibitors and breakout presentations on topics such as biodefense and infectious diseases, cybersecurity, geography and geo information science, haptic technologies, informatics, transformative energy technology and wireless communications. Participating universities include George Mason University, The George Washington University, James Madison University, Johns Hopkins University, University of Maryland, University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University and Virginia Tech.
