EIG and The Pohnpei Utilities Corporation signed a MOU to Upgrade Power Grid

HAMILTON TWP., N.J., Sept. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Energy Infrastructure Global, Inc., a design build Renewable Energy Infrastructure Firm, has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Pohnpei Utilities Corporation for the Island of Pohnpei State in The Federated States of Micronesia for the renovation of the Island's power grid with the implementation of Renewable Energy.

EIG's design concept consists of the replacement of the entire existing diesel generating power plant by installing 4 MW of temporary generation, 7.5 MW of new highly efficient diesel generating power plant, the implementation of 3 MW of solar photovoltaic, 2 MW of battery storage and 750KW of hydro power.
