ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- eGlobalTech (eGT), a leading information technology, cyber security, and management consulting firm, announced today that it was awarded the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Privacy Office (PRIV) Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Support Services contract. DHS PRIV, as well as in other DHS agencies like the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), needed cost-effective FOIA support to continue decreasing the growing body of incoming FOIA requests and their FOIA backlog. eGT was selected to continue providing this support under a new four-year contract.
eGT has been providing FOIA business support services (project management, data analysis, research, request support, and process improvement) to DHS PRIV since 2015.
"Our team has done an outstanding job. We helped reduce FEMA's FOIA backlog by over 85% in 12 months. Our team looks forward to continuing to help DHS meet its FOIA reduction goals," said Joseph Zimmerman, executive vice president of operations and delivery at eGlobalTech.
