"As a loyal customer of Eggland's Best eggs and a long-time fan of the brand's superior nutrition, taste and overall quality, I am ecstatic to be selected as Eggland's Best's first 'Chief Egg Officer,'" said Karen Petersen. "I've always been an advocate for Eggland's Best eggs because of their quality and freshness, and they are the only eggs I serve my family!"
Three Finalists in the Eggland's Best "Chief Egg Officer Search" Contest rose to the top for their creative written responses and videos. Finalists were then judged on their representation of the Eggland's Best brand (50%), creativity in their video response (30%) and consumer online voting (20%). Karen's written response and video displayed her vibrant personality and her egg-straordinary enthusiasm for the better nutrition and taste provided by Eggland's Best eggs, which ultimately won over the brand and consumers.
"We want to congratulate Karen on becoming EB's first Chief Egg Officer and are pleased to welcome her into the Eggland's Best family," said Charles T. Lanktree, President and Chief Executive Officer of Eggland's Best. "Her devotion to the company's core message of nutrition and quality is exemplified in her own values and will undoubtedly transcend into her ability to represent the Eggland's Best brand as our honorary 'CEO.'"
Karen Petersen was able to visit Eggland's Best in New York City on December 8th to receive her Grand Prize and attend the Radio City Christmas Spectacular with the Eggland's Best employees.
"It was a great experience meeting Charles Lanktree and the Eggland's Best team," said Petersen. "What a fun and passionate group! This trip gave me even more reasons to love and support the Eggland's Best brand. It was a fantastic beginning to my journey as 'CEO.'"
