Edward M. Kennedy Institute Continues to Build Team in Preparation for March 2015 Grand Opening
BOSTON, Sept. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate (the Institute) is proud to announce several new additions to its staff including Jon McLaughlin as Director of Institute Giving, Christopher Reichert as Director of Information Technology and Namita Raina as Marketing Manager. The Institute is dedicated to studying and exploring how our government and the Senate works and how it can work better - invigorating public discourse, and inspiring the next generation of civic leaders.
The Institute is scheduled to open in March 2015.

"These talented individuals are joining a great team here, as we continue on our journey to highlight the critical role of the U.S. Senate in our nation's history and future."
Jon McLaughlin, Director of Institute Giving, spent over 12 years at MIT where he led the school's major gifts team for the New York region and worked closely with school's leadership in the Office of Philanthropic Partnerships. Prior to joining the Institute, Jon was the first Chief Advancement Officer at the Steppingstone Foundation in Boston.
Christopher Reichert, Director of Information Technology, was previously the Director of Web Technology for the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation. Reichert has more than 20 years of strategic IT consulting and business management experience. In 2006 he co-lead the team that developed the first MA health care portal, and earlier in his career he co-founded a consultancy that provided IT integration services in Australia. Reichert serves as Vice President on the MIT Sloan Boston Alumni Association Board and is the Executive Chair of the MIT Sloan CIO Symposium.
Namita Raina, Marketing Manager, was previously the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications at Boston University's Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine where she developed and implemented marketing campaigns, wrote for School publications, and managed website content. Raina has several years of additional experience working at WBUR and the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau.
