TURNERS FALLS, Mass., Nov. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Northeast Foundation for Children (NEFC), developer of the research-based Responsive Classroom® approach to elementary teaching, has announced that, effective November 1, 2013, it will provide professional development services and resources directly from its national headquarters to K-8 educators in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Oklahoma, North Dakota, and South Dakota. These services were previously provided under a licensing agreement through Origins, an organization based in Minneapolis.

The full range of Responsive Classroom offerings is now available to any interested teacher, school, or district in the six-state region. This includes on-site training and consulting for schools and districts, professional development workshops for teachers and administrators, and publications and study-group resources to support professional development for K-8 educators. Responsive Classroom workshops will be offered in several locations in the region during spring and summer 2014.
