Education Elements Adds Jack Witlin to Esteemed Board of Directors
Witlin to Support Education Elements' Efforts to Increase and Enhance Consulting Capabilities for School District Clients
SAN CARLOS, Calif., Feb. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Education Elements, a consultancy supporting public school districts to become more student-centered, today announced the addition of Jack Witlin to the organization's Board of Directors. Witlin will replace Jennifer Carolan as the company works towards the advancement of its existing suite of client consulting services.
Jack Witlin is a retired Principal from Deloitte Consulting, where he served the company and its predecessor firms for nearly 40 years. In addition to having a history of outstanding client service for major global corporations, Witlin worked diligently to successfully accelerate the growth of Deloitte Consulting practices around the world through a number of leadership roles including COO and Vice Chairman of the US Firm, Global and US Leader for the Financial Services Industry, Chairman of the China/US Joint Venture, and Managing Director of the Chicago Office. Throughout his journey with Deloitte Consulting, Witlin remained relevant to his clients by staying close to their ever-changing issues and opportunities, and contributing to making positive change happen over extended periods of time.
"Witlin's expertise is perfectly aligned with Education Elements' goal to build a deep and broad set of consulting capabilities," said Anthony Kim, Education Elements' Founder & CEO. "Our mission is to build dynamic schools systems and help them achieve even greater positive outcomes as they face traditional and new opportunities and challenges and we are confident that the addition of Jack Witlin to our board will only help to accelerate and expand our reach in doing so."
Witlin is particularly excited about working with the leadership of Education Elements because of the strong foundation the company has in both developing professionals and in positively impacting outcomes in the classroom for its school district clients. "When the mission is noble it is easy to get excited about helping out. Nothing could be more important than upping the performance of our children. I hope to leverage my experience in order to accelerate the great progress that Education Elements has already had in building an outstanding consulting firm and in making positive change happen for their education clients."
After serving on the board since the organization's founding in 2010, Jennifer Carolan of Reach Capital stepped off the board to enable Education Elements to focus on its consulting practice. "I am excited about all the ways Education Elements has supported school districts to-date, but am looking forward even more to what's to come for their organization," said Carolan. "We have seen time and again that good products matter, but focusing on the people and the pedagogy matters even more. Without a focus on implementation, initiatives may fail and Education Elements prevents that from happening."
In addition to Witlin, Education Elements' Board of Directors includes Dave Whorton, Founder, Tugboat Ventures; Howard Behar, Former President and COO, Starbucks, Michael Horn, Co-founder of Clayton Christensen Institute; and Anthony Kim, Founder & CEO, Education Elements.
