Edifecs Expands Management Team as Business Accelerates

BELLEVUE, Wash., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Edifecs, Inc., the proven leader in HIPAA 5010 and Healthcare Channel Modernization solutions, announced today that it continues to strengthen its management team with key hires. Dr. Joe Nichols (Medical Director), Piyush Pushkar (VP Solutions Consulting and Alliances) and Gary Haff (Director, Customer Support) have all joined Edifecs in the past few weeks.

Dr. Joe Nichols re-joined Edifecs as Medical Director after a gap of 3 years. In his prior stint at Edifecs, Joe was a key contributor to the Edifecs Transaction Management product. Joe joined Edifecs from VIPS where he had a leadership role in developing VIPS' value measurement data infrastructure as well as ICD-10 offering. Through his 35 years in the healthcare industry, including 15 years as a practicing physician, Joe has a wide ranging experience in healthcare information technology on the provider, payer and vendor side of healthcare business.

Piyush Pushkar was hired as Vice President of Solutions Consulting and Alliances from Wipro Technologies. At Wipro and prior, Piyush has managed Pre-sales and Sales with multi-million dollar portfolios. Piyush has more than 12 years experience leading strategic architecture teams designing and building products and solutions in the areas of SOA, BPM, Enterprise 2.0, Web 2.0 and Enterprise Applications. Piyush has diverse expertise providing IT solutions in the Healthcare, Insurance, Banking and Retail industries.

Gary Haff was hired as Director, Product Support from Attachmate/WRQ where he was responsible for all aspects of technical support deliverables and was a key stakeholder in Attachmate's approximately $100m maintenance business. Gary brings over 16 years experience supporting software or leading teams that support software. Gary also has direct entrepreneurial experience, sales experience and is a Coast Guard veteran.
