Edgar Joins Tiger As Associate Director

LOS ANGELES, May 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Dan Edgar has joined Tiger Group as an Associate Director, based in the firm's metro Los Angeles office in Westlake Village.

Edgar will be responsible for managing the firm's West Coast asset appraisal team. In this role, he will oversee daily operations and client interaction in the region and work to continue growing Tiger's presence within the retail, wholesale and industrial sectors in the Western U.S. He will report to Managing Director Michael McGrail.

He comes to Tiger Group from Great American Group where he most recently served as project manager. During his five years there, Edgar conducted pre-funding due diligence, inventory appraisals and valuations and collateral monitoring for over 300 companies on behalf of lending institutions worldwide. He joined the firm in 2007 as a senior financial analyst and rose through the ranks to become a senior associate in 2008, and project manager in 2010.

From 2004 to 2007, Edgar was a financial consultant and accredited asset management specialist at A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. in San Jose, Calif.

A long-time resident of southern California, Edgar graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2004 with a B.A. degree in Business Economics and Global Studies.
