CoreNet Global Announces Winners of 2010 Annual Sustainable Leadership and Design Award, Economic Development Leadership Award and Industry Excellence Award
NEW ORLEANS, April 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CoreNet Global announced today that Space Matrix Design Consultants, Kansas City Area Development Council and WICELY were the winners of three annual awards presented during the Opening Session of the CoreNet Global Summit at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

The following honors were awarded:
- Sustainable Leadership and Design Award, sponsored by Johnson Controls and Tandus, was presented to Space Matrix Design Consultants for its work with the T-Zed project, an ecologically-conscious apartment enclave in the Whitefield suburb of Bangalore, India, that boasts the first LEED Platinum rated residential apartment, centrally air-conditioned (with no CFC and HCFC), no water supply from the outside, and waste treated and reused.
- Economic Development Leadership Award sponsored by ADP and Biggins, Lacy, Shapiro was presented to the Kansas City Area Development Council for achieving a new economic growth opportunity for Kansas City that resulted in the Kansas City Animal Health Corridor, and gaining recognition as the world's largest concentration of animal health industry assets with one-third of the global industry sales.
- Industry Excellence Award was presented to WICELY for its Activity-Based Office Optimization Toolkit (ABOOT), which provides businesses with a scientific method for accurately measuring and assessing the activities within the mobile workspace, giving organizations the ability to define the type and amount of space required without having to rely solely on what can be insufficient data based on occupancy levels alone.
In addition, the following entries from the three award competitions were elevated for consideration for the 2010 Global Innovator's Award (GIA), sponsored by UGL Equis, UGL Unicco, Gensler and Cushman & Wakefield. The GIA winner will be announced at the Fall Summit in Phoenix, Arizona in September.
