EcoBlu Products Announces Red Shield Coating Agreement With Luxor Industrial Corporation
Red Shield™ Coating Now Being Produced in Abbottsford, British Columbia
VISTA, Calif., June 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- EcoBlu Products, Inc. (OTCBB: ECOB) announced today the company has finalized a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Luxor Industrial Corporation, a previously established wood coatings applicator located in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Under the terms of the agreement Luxor will produce ECOB Red Shield™ Protected Lumber products for distribution across Canada and the United States. Luxor being strategically located several miles north of the USA/Canadian border allows ECOB to leverage the supply chain to land coated western lumber products all over the United States and Canada. Currently Luxor is producing several truckloads of Western Doug Fir with the ultimate destination of Connecticut.
Luxor and ECOB made the shift to Red Shield chemistry at the Abbotsford production facility. Luxor successfully installed the ECOB quality control management system and is now successfully producing Red Shield coated wood products in accordance with company guidelines. Luxor will look to grow the local lumber markets with Red Shield distribution and start a migration path for their specialty items such as the IBS 2000® and patent pending IBS3000™ engineered floor bridging systems.
"Luxor is a key component in my master distribution plan for ECO Coated wood products. They are strategically located across the border allowing me the ability to service the east coast, west coast and Canadian markets with fixed cost of goods," said Steve Conboy, President and CEO of EcoBlu Products. "I am very excited that Luxor has made the switch to the Red Shield coatings," added Conboy.
