Eco-Site Adds Former Verizon Director to Executive Team
DURHAM, N.C., May 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Eva Hayward, former director of network engineering at Verizon Wireless, has been hired as the vice president of densification solutions at Eco-Site, Inc.
Eva brings a wealth of technical experience to Eco-Site's management team, having led both IT and network teams at Verizon Wireless for close to 20 years. In her former role as director of network engineering, Eva was responsible for the strategy, planning, and implementation of RAN and switch enhancements in multiple states. In addition to the build out of over 600 macros, she launched an aggressive small cell program resulting in the deployment of over 1,000 small cells in under 30 months. By engineering solutions to include dark fiber and a C-RAN-ready architecture, the region enjoyed immediate 4G capacity relief while positioning the network for future 5G deployments.
Previously, she served in several integral positions within Verizon including director of network operations for Chicago, manager of switch engineering, and associate director of the IT support center. Eva's experience prior to Verizon includes roles with NCH and Microsoft Corporation. Eva received a degree in Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University.
"Eva is a proven technical leader, and we are thrilled to welcome her to our team," said Dale Carey, founder and chief executive officer for Eco-Site. "Her experience in deploying alternative network solutions, positions Eco-Site as the partner of choice to deliver meaningful densification solutions to our carrier customers."
