Eco Building Products Board Of Directors And Funders Gathered This Week In New York
Eco Red Shield™ Advanced Framing Lumber, Eco Armor Paint™, and Eco Tacoma Are Finding Niche Business Including Affiliate Opportunities Around North America
VISTA, Calif., May 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Eco Building Products, Inc., (PINK: ECOB) announced today that Eco Building Products, Inc. Board of Directors and Funders held discussions pertaining to current company business, including Eco Red Shield Advanced Framing Lumber and Eco Armor painted products, both of which are gaining momentum now with niche type business for wholesale distribution throughout North America, and even off-shore sales. The Board and Funders recently learned that there is a Canadian group coming in to meet Eco mid-May at the Company's Tacoma, WA facility to discuss setting up Affiliate Licensee Locations in Canada. Other business opportunities that were discussed included products sold to manufacturers looking to Eco's eco-friendly protection for fulfillment of a purchase order to treat one million board feet of lumber in the Georgia market. In the discussion earlier this week, it became clear that there is more business to support Eco's operations than just home builders and house packs. It was also discussed how mold and air quality in homes is now a new hot topic with UL recognizing these hazards as a major threat to builders and supply companies, requiring their focused attention because litigators are now chasing higher volumes of mold claims which can affect air quality in homes.
Eco Building Products, Inc. President & CEO Steve Conboy commented that "Eco is in pursuit of more 'coating service only' orders, along with finding more of this niche type business, like lathe strips for roofing companies, which will be produced out of the Company's Tacoma facility. The Tacoma facility has been in our plans from day one as our MEGA facility. Tacoma is coming online now with two Eco Red Shield coating lines and an Eco Armor paint line, and we plan to automate this operation and increase our output by tenfold in the coming months. Eco Tacoma will also operate as a reload where we will now get paid hidden costs, which up until now, the Company had to bear the burden. This means our MEGA facility will be paid to unload inbound rail cars and trucks as well as loading outbound finished goods increasing margin bringing us to positive cash flow sooner. We knew we had to wait until now during the process of creating demand for protecting wood fiber from mold, fire, termites and rot. In the past, the Building Industry only recognized pressure treatment as [the] process for protecting lumber. We consider our process, quality controls, and warranty superior to pressure treated products and we will not allow the Industry to put us in their same category when our products are more technologically advanced and safer, while providing protection for a wide range of products beyond landscape timbers and mud sill." http://issuu.com/ecobworldnews/docs/the_shield_march_2015?e=0
