ECMC Group Appoints New Board Member

Peter J. Taylor joins the board of directors of ECMC Group

ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ECMC Group, a nonprofit corporation that provides services to students, their families and schools in support of higher education, today announced the appointment of Peter J. Taylor to its board of directors.

Taylor serves as the executive vice president and chief financial officer for the University of California system. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management at the 10 campuses, five academic medical centers and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Taylor has held senior positions in investment banking, including Barclays Capital where he served as managing director of public finance. Prior to Barclays Capital, Taylor served in senior positions in other large, complex organizations, including GTE California. His professional experience also encompasses governmental work, which includes more than six years in the California Legislature.

Mr. Taylor serves on the board of directors of the J. Paul Getty Trust and of the James Irvine Foundation. Previous board and commission service includes the board of directors of the UCLA Foundation, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's 2004 California Performance Review Commission, the California Student Aid Commission and the University of California Board of Regents (alumni representative).
