ECMC Foundation names Steve Bumbaugh as President

ST. PAUL, Minn., Aug. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of ECMC Foundation announced that Steve Bumbaugh has been selected to serve as the organization's president.

Steve brings more than 10 years of philanthropic experience and 20 years of experience in the education sector to his new role. Prior to joining ECMC Foundation, Steve was the executive director of the Specialty Family Foundation—a foundation that focuses primarily on efforts to improve schools that serve low-income students. Early in his career, he founded an educational program for middle and high school students living in one of the highest crime ZIP codes in the United States. Students in the program graduated from high school at three times the rate of their peers outside of the program, and enrolled in college at six times the rate. Steve has spent most of his career developing unique and successful programs aimed at helping the underserved populations succeed academically.
