Echo of an #InterestingWoman Campaign
Celebrating 95 years of Empowering Women
NEW YORK, March 5, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Known for its leading scarf designs and defining patterns and colors, Echo has been empowering women to express their individuality since 1923. To honor its 95th Anniversary and Women's History Month, Echo is putting a distinctly modern spin on its iconic "Echo of an Interesting Woman" campaign from the 1970s.
Reimagined for a new era, the #InterestingWoman integrated marketing campaign will celebrate women who are making a difference in the world around them – today's visionaries, trendsetters and trailblazers who ignite our creativity and inspire us. The campaign will tell their stories across all social channels, including Instagram, Facebook and the Echo website and blog.
All ages and a broad range of personalities, the women included in the campaign embody the Echo brand DNA with a distinctly relevant point-of-view. From Dorothy Roberts, Chairwoman at Echo, who at age 90, continues to be a leader and mentor both inside and outside the company as well as a constant source of inspiration, to Julee Wilson, Fashion and Beauty Director at Essence, the very definition of today's working mom and female activist. Other interesting women include:
- Samantha Sheinson, style blogger
- Sylvia Weinstock, acclaimed American baker
- Donna Kalajian Lagani, Senior Project Director, The Hearst Foundations
- Kelly Chaido, Design Consultant
- Abby Silverman, Creative Director Cosmopolitan.com
- Ariella Hackmann, Equinox Group fitness manager
- Ellen Weldon, Founder of Ellen Weldon Design, LLC
"We love sharing stories – both our own and in celebration of others, emphasizing the importance of personal progress, motivation and character," said Lynn Roberts, Vice President of Communications at Echo. These women all make an indelible impact upon the world around them. Pioneers in their fields, they encourage other women to follow in their steps and blaze their own trails. For 95 years, Echo has created beautiful accessories and home designs to help women express their individuality and feminine power.
