SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Echelon Corporation (NASDAQ:ELON), the original Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) company, today announced the appointment of Andy Lovit as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Lovit brings more than 25 years of high technology sales and field operations management to the Echelon team. Andy will drive the Company's sales efforts in both the lighting and the LonWorks-based embedded systems businesses.

Lovit joins Echelon from Procera Networks, where he served as the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Services. Prior to that, Lovit served as Senior Vice President of Global Field Operations for Fortress Solutions. Andy has also held Vice President of Sales and Field Operations roles at Bivio Networks, Ericsson, SkyStream Networks, Paradyne Corporation, and 3Com Corporation. Mr. Lovit holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
