ECC International Constructors, LLC (ECC) and METAG Insaat Ticaret A.S. (METAG) Joint Venture Wins $477 Million Ring Road Project in Afghanistan

BURLINGAME, Calif., Jan. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Asian Development Bank awarded ECCI-C METAG, JV, a joint venture between ECC and METAG, a $477 million, four-year project to rehabilitate and construct a 233-kilometer stretch of roadway from Qaisar to Laman to complete Afghanistan's Ring Road.

The nearly 3,000-kilometer Ring Road is the main artery in Afghanistan that connects several major cities. Completion of the Ring Road will link Afghanistan's major cities, expand economic ties among Central and South Asia and the Middle East, and improve security, economic development, and trade.
