eCardio Announces Plans to Streamline Products, Highlight Award-Winning Service
HOUSTON, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- eCardio announced today plans to streamline their current product offering and highlight award-winning associated services. In conjunction with the pending release of Verite, eCardio's mobile cardiac telemetry monitor, eCardio's newest product suite includes an array of products and services including mobile cardiac telemetry, cardiac event monitors and traditional Holter monitoring, all designed to meet the needs of unique patient populations.
"eCardio's number one priority is to provide leading edge devices and essential clinical services," noted Paul Davis, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at eCardio. "There is a not a one-size-fits-all diagnostic monitor on the market, and each monitor detects a variety of patient symptoms and meets a unique set of physician requirements. The streamlined product suite will allow physicians more options for effectively and efficiently managing patients."
Unlike routine diagnostic services, mobile cardiac telemetry (MCT) provides continuous beat-to-beat monitoring and recording of abnormal heart rhythms. Physicians have the ability to access full disclosure of information on any period of time specified, from five minutes to greater than 24 hours. Verite, eCardio's newest monitor, is scheduled for release in early 2011.
In efforts to manage increasing healthcare costs, eCardio offers physicians a variety of technology resources that simplify the process of patient management, so that physicians can focus on what they do best—patient care and treatment. These resources include EMR integration, secure mail, and an online physician web portal for access and management of patients online. All eCardio technology solutions adhere to patient privacy standards and requirements for the electronic transmission of health information, as set forth by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
"eCardio is more than just a monitoring company – they are an important partner in patient care," Mindee Flippin, M.D., commented. "It's helpful for me to have an array of products and services at my disposal. In years past, we have managed some diagnostic testing, such as Holter monitoring, though our offices. Yet, with the ongoing decrease in reimbursement for these services, it makes sense to find a partner. Based on our experience, we've found a long term partner in eCardio."
All of eCardio's remote cardiac monitoring products are provided to enrolled physicians and monitoring services provided by eCardio are covered by commercial insurance and Medicare.
Since the inception of the company in 2004, eCardio has experienced significant growth. Most recently, eCardio was included on the Inc. 500's list of fastest-growing private companies for a second year. eCardio was also recognized in the 2008 and 2009 Fast Tech 50, and President Larry Lawson was awarded the Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year in both 2008 and 2009.
