BOSTON, March 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance Tax-Managed Buy-Write Opportunities Fund (NYSE: ETV), a closed-end management investment company, today announced the earnings of the Fund for the three and nine months ended December 31, 2013. The Fund's fiscal year ended on December 31, 2013.
For the three months ended December 31, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $2,140,093 ($0.033 per share). For the year ended December 31, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $8,155,298 ($0.128 per share). In comparison, for the three months ended December 31, 2012, the Fund had net investment income of $2,882,430 ($0.046 per share). For the year ended December 31, 2012, the Fund had net investment income of $8,342,791 ($0.131 per share).
Net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended December 31, 2013 were $61,488,852 ($0.972 per share). Net realized and unrealized gains for the year ended December 31, 2013 were $144,162,287 ($2.272 per share). In comparison, net realized and unrealized losses for the three months ended December 31, 2012 were $24,370,776 ($0.384 per share).
