BOSTON, Oct. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance New York Municipal Bond Fund (NYSE MKT: ENX) (the "Fund"), a closed-end management investment company, today announced the earnings of the Fund for the three and nine months ended June 30, 2013. The Fund's fiscal year ends on September 30, 2013.
For the three months ended June 30, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $2,922,406 ($0.183 per share). For the nine months ended June 30, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $8,748,848 ($0.550 per share). In comparison, for the three months ended June 30, 2012, the Fund had net investment income of $2,818,702 ($0.177 per share). For the nine months ended June 30, 2012, the Fund had net investment income of $8,704,603 ($0.548 per share).
Net realized and unrealized losses for the three months ended June 30, 2013 were $17,749,701 ($1.111 per share). Net realized and unrealized losses for the nine months ended June 30, 2013 were $22,631,897 ($1.424 per share). In comparison, net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended June 30, 2012 were $4,415,123 ($0.282 per share). Net realized and unrealized gains for the nine months ended June 30, 2012 were $12,882,425 ($0.811 per share).
On June 30, 2013, net assets of the Fund were $207,748,271. The net asset value per share on June 30, 2013 was $13.07 based on 15,896,585 shares outstanding. In comparison, on June 30, 2012, net assets of the Fund were $221,706,318. The net asset value per share on June 30, 2012 was $13.95 based on 15,887,552 shares outstanding.
