BOSTON, Oct. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance California Municipal Bond Fund (NYSE MKT: EVM) (the "Fund"), a closed-end management investment company, today announced the earnings of the Fund for the three and nine months ended June 30, 2014. The Fund's fiscal year ended on September 30, 2014.
For the three months ended June 30, 2014, the Fund had net investment income of $3,789,301 ($0.176 per share). For the nine months ended June 30, 2014, the Fund had net investment income of $11,381,214 ($0.526 per share). In comparison, for the three months ended June 30, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $3,811,345 ($0.175 per share). For the nine months ended June 30, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $11,351,175 ($0.522 per share).
Net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended June 30, 2014 were $10,897,908 ($0.506 per share). Net realized and unrealized gains for the nine months ended June 30, 2014 were $23,834,729 ($1.102 per share). In comparison, net realized and unrealized losses for the three months ended June 30, 2013 were $25,430,597 ($1.167 per share). Net realized and unrealized losses for the nine months ended June 30, 2013 were $27,130,067 ($1.247 per share).
On June 30, 2014, net assets of the Fund were $271,141,454. The net asset value per share on June 30, 2014 was $12.67 based on 21,398,686 shares outstanding. In comparison, on June 30, 2013, net assets of the Fund were $255,902,260. The net asset value per share on June 30, 2013 was $11.76 based on 21,756,186 shares outstanding.
