Eaton Partners Grows Distribution and Project Management Teams in North America and Asia with Six New Professionals
ROWAYTON, Conn., March 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Partners, a leading independent global placement agent, is pleased to announce the addition of four senior sales professionals to their distribution team and two key professionals to their project management team. With over 55 people across six offices globally, Eaton has one of the largest teams in the placement industry.
Eaton Partners' distribution team, which provides fundraising placement services to private equity, hedge fund, real asset, real estate and other fund clients around the world, has added Jackson Chan in Hong Kong, David Welp in Houston, Mike Zard in San Diego, and Will MacColl in Connecticut. These new professionals will further bolster Eaton Partners' global distribution capabilities, as increased demand for global fundraising expertise continues to drive the firm's expansion.
Mr. Chan joins Eaton Partners as a Senior Vice President, focusing on the distribution of the firm's liquid and illiquid alternative assets offerings in Asia and also assisting in the firm's origination efforts in the region. Messrs. Welp, Zard, and MacColl all join as Vice Presidents, focusing on the distribution of the firm's private equity, real assets, and real estate offerings in their respective regions within the United States.
Eaton Partners has also added to its industry-leading project management team with David Weiss joining as a Vice President and Ryan Still as an Associate, both participating in the execution of the various alternative funds marketed by the firm.

About the new team members
Jackson Chan has over 15 years of institutional sales marketing experience. Prior to joining Eaton Partners, he headed the business development function at Hamilton Lane in Asia, where he was responsible for the sales, marketing, and client servicing of all of the group's alternative solutions and products to Asian investors. He received his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Actuarial Studies from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. Jackson is licensed with the SFC in Hong Kong.
David Welp has over 14 years of private equity experience, including seven years as an institutional fund investor. Prior to joining Eaton Partners, he was a Director at Morgan Creek Capital Management, where he was a member of the private asset investment team and spearheaded the team's marketing efforts. He received an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a BE in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. David holds Series 7 and 63 licenses with FINRA.
Mike Zard has over eight years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Eaton Partners, he was Vice President at Altegris Investments, where he was responsible for the distribution of alternative investment strategies in both private and public offerings. Mike received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Gustavus Adolphus College. He holds the NFA Series 3 and Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses with FINRA.
Will MacColl has over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Eaton Partners, he was an associate at Galatioto Sports Partners, where he focused on professional sports franchise M&A transactions, franchise financing advisory, and franchise valuations. Will received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Princeton University. He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses with FINRA.
David Weiss has over seven years of experience in private equity and capital markets. Prior to joining Eaton, he was an investment associate at Performance Equity, a $10+ billion dollar private equity manager, making direct and partnership investments on a global basis. David received his undergraduate degree in business from Emory University.
Ryan Still has over six years of financial services experience. Prior to joining Eaton Partners, he was an Associate at Champlain Advisors, a boutique placement agent, where he was responsible for the firm's project management efforts. Ryan received a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Georgetown University.
