-Three new senior professionals to advise private equity general partners and limited partners in growing secondary market -
ROWAYTON, Conn., April 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Partners, a leading independent global placement agent, is pleased to announce the formation of its Secondary Advisory Group with the addition of three senior professionals, Michael Pilson, Alexander Mejia and Kevin Imhoff. The formation of the Secondary Advisory Group further enhances Eaton Partners' product offerings and capabilities as secondary market activity continues to play an increasing role in both General Partner fundraising and Limited Partner portfolio management activities. Pilson, Mejia and Imhoff previously ran the Secondary Advisory Business at Atlantic-Pacific Capital, where they advised a wide range of clients on secondary market transactions.
"We are extremely excited about adding Michael, Alex, and Kevin to our team. As the private equity industry continues to mature, we believe that secondary activity will become increasingly prevalent and we now have the ability to provide our clients and our Limited Partner relationships with best-in-class secondary advisory capabilities." said Jeff Eaton, Partner at Eaton Partners.
Based out of Eaton's headquarters in Rowayton, CT, the Secondary Advisory Group will provide highly customized solutions to clients managing private equity, real asset, real estate, venture capital and illiquid hedge fund investments. Specifically, the team will assist General Partners to strategically manage the sale of limited partnership interests within their existing funds and also raise new capital through stapled transactions, fund recapitalizations and fund restructurings. Additionally, the team will help Limited Partners achieve their desired portfolio construction by advising on the purchase or sale of fund interests in the secondary markets. The team provides valuation work and end-to-end process management and takes the necessary steps to ensure that each client's needs are met with respect to desired secondary pricing, transaction timeline and confidentially.
With over 55 people across six offices globally, Eaton Partners has one of the largest teams in the placement industry. The formation of the Secondary Advisory Group follows the firm's announcement of four senior sales professionals to their distribution team and two key professionals to their project management team in March. The Secondary Advisory Group will be fully integrated with the broader platform and will leverage the networks and relationships of the firm to deliver optimal results for its clients.
"We feel our commitment to serving both general partners and limited partners within the secondary market is an excellent fit with the Eaton Partners platform. We look forward to enhancing the range of services the firm provides its clients and are very fortunate to be able to join a firm with the capabilities, reputation and success of Eaton Partners." said Mr. Pilson.
