Easy Energy Announces Sales for First Quarter 2010
LAS VEGAS, May 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Easy Energy, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ESYE) developer of the YoGen®, a fully-sustainable, handheld electric charging device, announced that sales in the first quarter of 2010 were $525,587 with YoGen chargers sold into the US, UK, Ireland, Poland, Japan & Israel. Easy Energy formally launched the YoGen product line in January at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show, the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow, and began selling in volume during the first quarter of 2010. This represents the first full quarter of product sales in the company's history.
Easy Energy, Inc. Chief Executive Officer Guy Ofir commented, "We are making great strides toward many of our product development and global distribution initiatives. Having achieved our first full quarter of production and sales, we are excited by the initial demand for the YoGen charger. Our products resonate well with today's reliance on mobile consumer electronics and we believe our products have significant upside potential across our global sales efforts. With continued focus on product innovation and building our global distribution, we project continued quarterly sales growth in 2010. Our second product, the YoGen MAX which delivers up to 40 watts of manual power, is ready for production. We anticipate creating increased value for our shareholders through continued product development, building global distribution channels, while growing in a cost conscious manner."
YoGen chargers, available for purchase on-line through www.yogenstore.com and distributed though select electronic retailers, feature an unmatched 5-watt power output capacity for recharging many small-to-mid-sized personal electronic devices. YoGen uses the company's patent pending manual electric alternator technology which interfaces with an energy-efficient electronic stabilizer to transfer linear kinetic energy from the YoGen unit to recharge electronic devices. By offering an industry leading ratio of power output to energy input, YoGen's internal alternator generates power sufficient enough to charge everything from mobile phones, PDAs and MP3 players, to handheld games, GPS units, cameras, and other electronic devices.
"Customer reaction to the compact, ergonomically-designed YoGen product has been extraordinary," continued Mr. Ofir. "We are excited to have received numerous international orders for the handheld YoGen charger. Easy Energy is expanding capacity to meet the market demand while we continue to enhance our product lines with the upcoming YoGen Max, which is designed for charging larger devices such as laptops and other mobile computing platforms."
Mr. Ofir concluded, "Easy Energy's mission is to create a line of unique products for sustainable portable power enabling users to continuously recharge their devices. An ever increasing number of mobile devices with power hungry applications have created a need to frequently recharge batteries. We believe our products will fill a void within the global electronics industry to allow device users to replenish depleted batteries while on the go."
Additional details regarding first quarter sales activity along with the company's unaudited financial statements for the first quarter of 2010 were provided in the company's Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q filed on May 14, 2010.
