Easter Seals New York supporters and the We Live to Give Foundation Save the Holidays for Port Jervis Families

Easter Seals New York hosted its annual Holiday Outreach to support the Port Jervis Community

PORT JERVIS, N.Y., Dec. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Monday, December 17, 2012, Easter Seals New York hosted its annual Holiday Outreach at the Port Jervis Community Outreach Center in Port Jervis, NY. Thanks to numerous dedicated supporters and the We Live to Give Foundation, families and children in need are able to celebrate the holidays with gifts, clothes, and other household necessities.

This year, Easter Seals New York, is incredibly grateful to the We Live to Give Foundation for their exceptionally generous donation of $10,000 towards the Holiday Outreach. Additionally, Easter Seals New York is truly appreciative of The Toy Industry Foundation's donation of more than 5,000 toys. Friends at Milford/Westfall Wal-Mart Supercenter helped Easter Seals New York stretch the value of the money raised through the Hunger Initiative by offering an incredible discount for hundreds of items purchased through Wal-Mart.  The New York State Fraternal Order of Police (NYSFOP) also provided support by donating toys and volunteers. Thanks to the We Live to Give Foundation, The Toy Industry Foundation and Milford/Westfall Wal-Mart Supercenter and the NYSFOP's phenomenal support, holiday cheer and happiness will be spread to thousands of children in New York.

The Holiday Outreach is a part of Easter Seals New York's annual Hunger Initiative, which runs during the months of November and December. 100% of funds raised through the Hunger Initiative, go directly to those in need by purchasing food, winter clothes and other essential items. Easter Seals New York also operates a year-round, monthly outreach in Port Jervis, providing more than 60,000 pounds of food and serving more than 6,500 individuals from the community.
