Easter Seals New York Kicks Off 23rd Annual Billy Martin Golf Classic

NEW YORK, July 6, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Easter Seals New York will host its 23rd Annual Billy Martin Golf Classic this Monday, July 9 at Elmwood Country Club. Over 130 golfers will participate in the event, creating a great day of friendly competition while raising funds for children and adults with disabilities and special needs.
The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. with breakfast, some time on the practice range, and a putting competition, with the tournament officially kicking off at 12 p.m. The event will feature a reception, banquet dinner, auction, raffle, and award ceremony following the tournament. All proceeds from the event will benefit Easter Seals New York Programs in Hudson Valley, including Child Development Centers, an after-school program and a monthly Community Outreach Program.

Easter Seals New York has partnered with sponsors Entergy, Greenberg Traurig, Inca Kola, Wells Fargo, and The Shaw Group to create a fantastic event. The tournament play will feature a putting contest, hole-in-one prizes, and a $50,000 JetBlue Challenge shootout. Celebrities will be in attendance to lend their support to Easter Seals New York's mission, including New York Yankees All-Star pitcher Mariano Rivera, Jim Burt and Curtis McGriff of the New York Giants, and comedian Jackie Martling.
