Easter Bunny Behind at the Polls with 6-12 Year Olds
New Poll Shows Only Half of Kids Believe in Easter Bunny, Trailing Tooth Fairy & Santa Claus by Double Digits
OAK BROOK, Ill., April 2, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With a candy-laden weekend looming for households across the nation, a new poll finds the bearer of sugary goodies is slipping in favorability ratings with a crucial demographic.
The poll, out today from Delta Dental Plans Association (DDPA), finds that among six to 12 year olds, belief in the Easter Bunny is quickly being outpaced by the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus – by some pretty wide margins, according to their parents.
Unfortunately, the bad news for the Easter Bunny doesn't end there. The poll of more than 1,000 parents, conducted by Kelton for DDPA, finds the majority (56 percent) also say their child would be more excited about a visit from the Tooth Fairy.
And it's little wonder why, according to Delta Dental's The Original Tooth Fairy Poll®, last year the Tooth Fairy delivered a record $255 million for lost teeth, a 24.6 percent increase over the prior year.
