CEO Lance Gillies founded EarthCruiser in Australia, but moved to Bend for family reasons in 2011 and started manufacturing in 2013. The snow and the elevation of central Oregon is great for testing, but it has been the business environment that has been crucial to our success over a short period of time. "I don't think there are many places in the world one could arrive, unknown and start a manufacturing company building a very sophisticated vehicle. The wonderful people, the system and infrastructure we have had the pleasure to work with from start up to now is very humbling."

The manufacturing plant and head office is located in Bend, Oregon, an outdoor recreational mecca. The adventure travel or overland travel business has been growing around the world. EarthCruiser exports to Asia, Europe and Middle East from the Oregon plant.
