Early Intervention Clinic is Providing Free Counseling for Survivors of Trauma
PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Early Intervention Clinic (EIC) at Palo Alto University is offering up to 20 free sessions of counseling or support to eligible participants of a traumatic event. Working in collaboration with the Gronowski Clinic, on El Camino Real in Los Altos, CA they are offering support to trauma survivors as part of a research project that helps identify the best treatment for trauma related stress.
People over 18 involved in or having witnessed a traumatic event, such as a motor vehicle accident, sexual or physical assault, military trauma, natural, or manmade disaster, robbery or other event. They are working with people having experienced a traumatic event within the last 24 months that have left them overwhelmed, emotionally numb, unable to sleep, or experiencing nightmares about the event, the Early Intervention Clinic may be able to help. They have counseling services offered by trained clinicians who understand the impact of traumatic stress. Services are confidential.
