ATLANTA, Jan. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (prsageorgia.org) will hold its annual collegiate conference, Real World PR 2015, in Atlanta on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015.
Real World PR is a daylong event that brings together more than 150 communications students from the Southeast and beyond – and early-bird registration is available now until Wednesday, Feb. 4.
The conference provides students with a glimpse into their post-collegiate life through informative workshops, a career expo, resume critiques and multiple networking opportunities. There are professional seminars, exhibitor booths and interactive presentations through which the students are exposed to useful, timely information to complement the lessons learned in the classroom.

Students also have the opportunity to network throughout the day with the Atlanta-based public relations professionals and sponsors who attend the event as well as more than 150 professionals at the keynote luncheon. During the luncheon, PR pros are interspersed with the students at round tables to welcome the students and encourage interaction. For professionals, Real World is an excellent chance to identify top PR students for internships or entry-level positions.
Kat Cole, president of Cinnabon, Inc., is the Real World luncheon keynote speaker on the topic, "Branding Lessons from Unexpected Places: A Delicious Recipe for Success." She shares her inspirational story which is the root of her lessons on managing your company's brand, your own brand, and your role as a PR professional – all can come from unexpected places.
The conference will be held at the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North, 7 Concourse Parkway in Atlanta. Students check in at 7:45 a.m. for the daylong conference; professionals check in at 11:30 a.m. for the 12:15 p.m. luncheon program.

PRSA Georgia (prsageorgia.org) consists of some 900 professionals throughout Georgia. Its mission is to enhance the profession, provide continuing education and offer networking opportunities for its members. The Chapter has regular monthly meetings and seminars, an Annual Conference and annual Real World PR collegiate conference day.
The Chapter includes eight Special Interest Groups (Corporate and Employee Communications, Healthcare, Independent Counselors, Leader Board, Nonprofit, Technology, Travel and Tourism, and Young Professionals) that meet at various times.
