For Rapid Enablement of E2open's Cloud-Based Planning Environment Utilizing Bi-Directional Integration of Business-Critical Data with SAP® ERP
FOSTER CITY, Calif., Sept. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- E2open today announced that its E2open Data Extractor (E20) 600 has achieved certification as powered by the SAP NetWeaver® platform. The E2open Data Extractor (E20) 600 integrates with the SAP® ERP application, version 6.0, via SAP NetWeaver to help customers quickly derive additional value from their investment in SAP and E2open software for managing their fast-moving supply chain. The E2open solution is currently available for download at store.sap.com.
The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that E2open Data Extractor (E20) 600 is powered by SAP NetWeaver. Solutions that are powered by SAP NetWeaver can be more quickly and easily integrated into SAP solution environments. Customers can benefit from improved interoperability with SAP applications and with the large ecosystem of solutions that run on SAP NetWeaver. Choosing an SAP-certified solution can also help reduce overall IT investment costs and risks.
The integration of E2open Data Extractor with SAP ERP enables companies to extract and insert the mission-critical data they need for powering their global supply chains – with a setup time of just a few minutes. A turnkey solution, the E2open Data Extractor includes preconfigured master and transactional data templates for all data elements necessary to implement a planning project. A highly customizable, bi-directional solution, the E2open solution natively exports the critical supply and demand information that a business requires for the optimal daily performance of its supply chain operations. This information might include, for example, insight into suppliers, purchase orders, bills of materials or transaction data.
The E2open Data Extractor works in concert with the E2open B2B Client for secure and reliable on-premises-to-cloud transportation of sensitive supply chain data. Utilizing a native user-interface configuration approach with SAP ERP, an exceptional level of flexibility and control is provided to systems integrators and customers alike, even permitting integration setup changes during IT-imposed change blackout windows.
"To keep up with the intense pace of the competition, companies have minimal time to devote to setting up or maintaining supply chain management systems. In response to this pressing need, we're pleased to empower companies to rapidly and securely establish a flexible, cloud-based SaaS planning system to enable swift business decisions at the times when they matter most," said Ian Hedges, vice president, Platform, E2open. "Through this tight integration, we're simplifying projects significantly and frequently eliminating a great deal of internal IT time spent connecting a system running SAP ERP with cloud-based, mission-critical applications."
The E2open integration with SAP ERP is built upon the strong foundation of E2open's product suite, namely the B2B Client and the DataHub. With no VPN and firewall changes required, the natively integrated B2B Client delivers an ease of Internet connectivity that is secure and functional in a matter of minutes. The award-winning E2open DataHub validates, stages and merges master and transactional data, converting it from an SAP software format and loading it into any E2open application, such as E2 Planning and Response or E2 Analytics.
