DWA Appoints Former Gyro Executive to President Role in Americas
Strengthened management team to capitalize on fast growing demand from global technology brands
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- DWA today announced two new senior hires in its San Francisco office, with Bob Ray appointed as the agency's new president Americas, and Bryan Noguchi taking the role of vice president, media director for North America. Ray joins from gyro, where he most recently held the position of president. Noguchi will be responsible for communications planning and media in the region, capitalizing on increasing demand from global technology brands for standout communications strategy and media planning in the North American market.
Ray's priority will be to build out DWA's operations in both North and South America, increasing its service portfolio, expanding the agency's San Francisco and Boston offices, as well as opening an office to serve the Latin America market. He brings a wealth of experience to DWA, on the agency side at gyro, where he opened the New York City agency and then became president of gyro San Francisco. Ray also has over a decade of senior client-side marketing experience at several Fortune 500 technology companies.
"Having held senior strategic roles in the tech industry and agency side, Bob is one of a very select number of people who can truly claim to have experienced the media buying industry from both sides of the fence," said David Wood, CEO, DWA. "This unique blend of skills and experience makes Bob perfectly qualified to capitalize on the rising demand for creative campaigns in the US, helping us to continue our impressive year-on-year growth, which currently stands at 60 percent."
"DWA is a truly special place full of passion and energy. It is my intent to take the current progress DWA has made in the US, and build on this to create a leader in communications strategy leveraging the most innovative technology. I want DWA to innovate for the most innovative companies," said Ray. "I look forward to being a leader, collaborator and new business driver for the agency. DWA is moving to the next level and I look forward to helping them get there."
Noguchi joins DWA from T3 where he was vice president, executive media director and responsible for the strategic direction of major accounts including MSN, Intel and Facebook. In his 15 year career, he has also held senior media positions at Grey Worldwide/Mediacom, Halloran Robertson (now H Corporation), McCann Erickson and Anderson Lembke.
"Bryan is yet another great addition to our senior management team. His big brand experience, together with a track record of delivering campaigns over a broad mix of media, will be instrumental in both driving awareness and sales for our clients," continued Woods.
