During This Season of Giving, Indian Head Casino Targets Two Specific Needs
Food Drive Slated for November; Coat Drive Scheduled for December
WARM SPRINGS, Ore., Nov. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- When the leadership committee of Indian Head Casino considered how they might make a charitable impact this holiday season, they didn't stop at a single organization or community need. Instead, they went all in and partnered with two well respected organizations to help reach their goals.
The result? Tandem tidings of goodwill toward men — and women and children, according to Belinda Chavez, Director of Marketing for Indian Head Casino and the Tribal Council.
"We are committed to supporting our community where we live and work," Chavez said. "And we've been guided to two specific organizations to help further their mission."
These organizations include the Warm Springs Food Bank and the Warm Springs Community Health Program, both of which share a long history of support from the casino.
The public is invited to participate by bringing non-perishable, canned food items to Indian Head Casino through the month of November to support the holiday cause, which will earn Bonus Slot Play. As an example, Chavez said, five cans of food earns $5 in Bonus Slot Play, and ten cans earn $10 in Bonus Slot Pay.
Now halfway through the campaign, Chavez estimates more than 30 boxes of food have already been deployed to the Food Bank, and by the end of November, another 30 boxes is expected.
From December 1 - 16, the public is asked to "Spread the Warmth" by donating to the Children's Coat Drive benefiting the Warm Springs Community Health Program. Coats must be new, with tags on, and each coat donated with receive $10 in Bonus Slot Play.
"We encourage all of our loyal guests and gamers to join with us during this season of giving," Chavez said. "With your support, we can ensure all our friends and neighbors here in Warm Springs are warm and well fed."
Canned foods and children's coats may be dropped off at the Player's Club, located inside Indian Head Casino.
