Durham School Services Conducts Formal Search For Charleston Area Community Relations Consultant

WARRENVILLE, Ill., June 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Durham School Services, a leader in student transportation, has launched a formal search process to select a local area Community Relations Consultant.  The company has convened an external committee of national and local leaders to help make the selection.  The consultant selected will provide external community relations services in the local area in advance of and during the 2015-2016 school year. 

National civil rights leader and entrepreneur Lamell McMorris is leading the consultant search for Durham and will be serving as the chair of the external selection committee.

Joining Mr. McMorris on the committee for Durham are three local leaders who have volunteered their time to help Durham select the best possible consultant for this position.  These local leaders include business woman and civic activist Beverly Gadson-Birch, esteemed family law attorney and mediator Debra E. Stokes, and Reverend Alonza Washington of the Wallingford Presbyterian Church.  

Durham School Services has advertised this consultant opportunity in local newspapers, in area alumni publications, with several area professional networks, and on national online career websites.  The committee will select the finalist from the nearly two dozen applications received. Durham expects to announce its selection by June 5, 2015.
